(ii) As owners of the property, you may object to categorisation of the land by giving to Whitsunday Regional Council, notice of objection in the form approved by the Council within thirty (30) days after the date of issue of the rate notice. Objection forms are available at the Council Customer Service Centre, 67 Herbert Street, Bowen during office hours.

(iii) The sole ground on which you, as owner, may object is that, having regard to the criteria decided by the Council by which rateable land is categorised, the land should have been included, as at the date of issue of the rate notice, in another rating category.
(iv) Giving a notice of objection will not, in the meantime, affect the levy and recovery of rates.
(v) If your land is included in another rating category because of the objection, an adjustment of rates will be made by the Council.
