Bowen Aerodrome The Bowen aerodrome is located on the outskirts of the town and has an active aero club and regular model flying. The airstrip is mostly used as the base for Agricultural operations. The main runway is sealed and the cross strip is gravel. All aircraft are most welcome. Collinsville Aerodrome Collinsville Aerodrome is located approximately 6km to the south of town and is mainly used to fly people in and out to the mines. There is a single gravel runway approximately 1400m long.
